The description doesn't explain that this book requires that the user be able to read music to determine the tunes of these songs. I even tried to find audio version of the songs online, and I can't find many of them. I'm sure this is a great capsule of traditional songs and dances, but how can you learn a dance without the tune to a song?I also found the dance step descriptions to be far less than detailed. Many of them don't tell which direction to face. There are a lot of things about square or folk dancing one must already know to be able to use/enjoy this book.The illustrations are beautiful, and the book is printed on quality paper and laid out well. I'm just disappointed at how non-user friendly this is for someone who's not a musician. If you can read music and know a bit about line, square, or folk dancing, this is probably the book for you.
