Having read all of Ms Rohrer's books, I venture to say that this is her most inspired, powerful, meaningful and capable of a transformative role in the life of the reader. It is written in such a way as to engage and appeal to both the new believer as well as the more mature Christian into an in-depth self examination. The Secrets of the Dry Bones will cause ANYONE who are serious about Will and Work of God in your life, to reevaluate and consider everything anew! I know it did me! I was so excited about having to look into the mirror of my own soul at some of the author's questions and promptings for study.The book, content, the Scriptural passages, the challenges met me at the current point in my life when all three of those things lined up perfectly to minister to me.I found the book written in a fast moving, easy to read and comprehend style which can hold a reader who is interesting in inspiration, encouragement, illumination and transformation. A special treat to the reader is the early format of looking at evidence and clues to this transformation from the purposes and promises of God (Ezekiel 37). The author executes that flawlessly....sort of like the CSI of biblical exposition! I recommend this book as tremendous resources for discipleship and growth, for any child of God. Amen.

While I still have the last chapter to go in this study, I am so excited about it that I just cannot keep it to myself. Last month my husband bought me a Kindle (a combined Mother's Day, birthday, anniversary present),and I had purchased 3 Bible studies. While looking over them trying to decide which one I wanted to tackle first, this one just really kept grabbing my attention so I thought I would see what I could glean from it. Having never heard of this author I had no idea what to expect. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised!This has been a most delightful, refreshing look at Ezekiel's vision. Sure, I was familiar with the vision (having read it many times in my life: I am 60+). But I had never really examined it closely. Never dissected it. Cut into it, taken a good healthy bite out of it, gnawed on it, and taken the time to really digest it. Let it become a part of me.I am a big fan of Kay Arthur's Precept classes. This is not that type of study. Not as intense or driven. This is a lighter, more refreshing study - or at least at was for me. But that is not to say it was not as meaningful. Just not as labor intensive. (Partly because, I would suspect, it only involved a few verses as opposed to a whole book or subject as I have studied with the Precept courses which each lasted 13 weeks.)The day before I began this study (Secrets of the Dry Bones) we also began a new summer study at church on Sunday night called Spiritual Transformation. The timing for my study could not have been more perfect! (I think it was God's hand since I do not believe in coincidence.) In fact, I am going to let friends at church know about this little gem so they can look into it if they are interested. (As I said, I cannot keep it to myself.)Definitely worth the price! And as soon as I finish the last chapter, I am starting back at the beginning of the book! We will be studying Spiritual Transformation all summer! A second look could never hurt! (Just in case I was so excited I was rushing through too quickly....)

I assume all of us feel like we go through dry times in our spiritual lives at one time or another. This book is so encouraging to any person going through a "dry time", needing to be revived spiritually. It was also a reminder to me of a particularly difficult time in my life when I thought things looked hopeless in my situation, but God still does miracles and He worked a miracle in my situation and resurrected new life for me and my family. I believe a perfect companion book for this is THE HOLY SPIRIT: Amazing Power for Everyday People (Illuminated Bible Study Guides Series) because both discuss sections of the book of Ezekiel. Ezekiel is one of those books of the Bible that I find somewhat confusing and hard to understand. These two books combined gave me a little better understanding of Ezekiel.

This passage of scripture is haunting; the author does an excellent job of de-mystifying it and helping the reader take a personal look at God's interest in us -even when we are lifeless and in a "valley". The use of investigational questions self-evaluation is both creative and effective. It helped me slow down, look at God's perspective, and consider how He wants to do more in our lives than just clothe use with physical strength and knowledge of Him. Very inspiring for anyone who wonders about spiritual dryness and letting God's spirit revive our lives. I highly recommend it.

This is a scripture I've read many times, one I've heard many ministers use as the text for sermons. Reading this study gave me insight I've not had prior to now. The way the author took time to break down the text and use the scriptures to support the teaching is remarkable. While I am someone who is familiar with the Word of God, this book does not require the same. It's well written, easily understood, and able to be understood by almost anyone. I allowed myself quite some time to read this, digesting the information found. The reason for this is, doing so allowed me to digest what I was learning and to look at the application of the information. There was much to take in, and I found that the author used her writings to pen it in such a manner as to allow readers to do so with relative ease.

I recently ordered several of Susan's study guide books on Ezekiel to lead a group of women through. It is as comprehensive, easy to relate to and spiritually challenging as anything I've ever studied. I would most highly recommend this study and her very comprehensive and understandable book on The Holy Spirit. She is truly a God-gifted writer who has an extended hand to every one who needs encouragement and spiritual growth in their lives -- men or women. Thank you God for your servant Susan Rohrer!!'
