I used this to pass my Network + exam.
This is a terrible guide to studying any sort of networking. As a previous networking student the only reason I understood any of this was being of my graduate courses I took. Completely disorganized and switches from topic to topic randomly without finishing his thoughts or fully describing each topic. He will use ten acronyms in one paragraph that he either mentioned two chapters ago or is going to in a little so you waste time trying to figure out what those acronyms meant. I wanted a smaller book as a refresher but seemed to just be more confused the more I read into this book
I keep putting off taking the CompTIA Network+ exam because of how intimidating it looks, the list of objectives covered in the test caused my brain to go numb!! After reading this study guide, I’m not intimidated anymore and highly recommend it to anyone looking to pass the Network+ exam!! The authors did an excellent job redesigning the content so that if flows in the order of the actual CompTIA objectives. Each objective is right to the point, provides helpful exam tips, describes special terms in ways I could easily understand, helpful topic related images, and the checkpoint section is awesome for checking how comfortable you are with the objective before moving on. Thank you to the authors for creating such a valuable tool for successfully passing this exam.

Great book! It doesn't mean to teach you new material, but instead to give you all the basis you need to remember for the test. As his former student, I can hear Prof. Weissman's original and clear teaching style in this book. The book is very clear. 100% recommended.
If you are looking to take the Network Plus exam this book is a solid choice! As someone who is a student of the Author you could not get any better!
I am a present college student getting ready to take my Network + exam soon, but as all college students know, not always is there enough time to cover every concept in class for various reasons. At the beginning of this book, it states that, "this book is not intended for anyone learning the material for the first time," but I have to disagree! I am going over material that was not covered in class, and afterwards, I feel very educated in these theories. I think the balance is just right between not giving too much information for someone needing to review a concept that they may not have dealt with for awhile and giving enough information for someone who hasn't been taught the concept but knows enough about the overall subject material to follow along.I have to take a moment and discuss the layout and design of the book. As I studied Networking in class, I picked up a different review guide with the intention of using that as my review for the certification, but when the exam was updated, I felt it was best to get an updated review guide. It was a blessing in disguise! In comparing the books, the layout of this book is much better for someone reviewing for the exam as well as for someone learning some of the concepts. Everything is laid out exactly the way one needs it to be to review for the certification and grouped in such a way that makes sense. I enjoyed the travel and passport design as well.Overall, this book is fantastic and is well worth the money. It is a small price to pay to give me the confidence I feel after reading it going into my CompTIA Network+ exam.
